Books attempted and not finished:
Apologia Pro Vita Sua by St. John Henry Cardinal Newman - too dry and obscure for morning meditations!
Hannah Coulter by Wendell Berry - I don't like his novel writing style.  Too 1 dimensional and preachy.  Couldn't get through it.
The Red and the Black by Stendhal - there was no likable person in this book.  Just a foreboding that everything was going to end very sordidly.  No thank you.
