We loved this book when it came out a few years ago. This Christmas my younger ones received the children's version. It's another strewing hit! They keep picking it up and reading it. Last night I noticed Becky had brought it up to her room to read it in bed. The funny thing is the kids read it over and over again for pleasure. And it is a pretty simple picture book. Yet every time, that little change in punctuation that alters the whole meaning of the sentence gets them giggling. I think they think it is fascinating that one little change in a seemingly minor detail can have so much impact. The way they keep rereading it reminds me of younger children when they are learning something new who joyfully repeat their activity in play, whatever it might be, over and over again.
I highly recommend this book for learning language mechanics painlessly!
