Life Under Construction

In addition to having workmen show up almost every morning at 8 or thereabouts and having electricity and internet go out for periods of time as they rewire things, we've also got other things to adjust to.

Every year I look forward to my crepe myrtle blooming in midsummer.  This dumpster has been sitting in our driveway for over a month now.

Crepe Myrtle with Dumpster.

Our kitchen is only half useable until they find the right color grout to put in the gap between the new countertops and the tile on the wall.  So we are currently cooking like this:

Toaster oven on top; microwave on the bottom.  Not that bad!

Our living room has been used as storage for over a month now.  There's actually less stuff in it right now.

Vanities for the hall and jack and jill bathrooms, plus the elfa closet organizers for the master bedroom closet.
