The full title of this book is Adam and Eve After the Pill: Paradoxes of the Sexual Revolution by Mary Eberstadt. This book is essentially a collection of essays on the effects of the birth control pill on society and culture. The analysis is razor sharp. Everything bad that Humanae Vitae predicted has happened and then some. I thought the essays on the transvaluation of values on food and sex and pornography and smoking were really interesting. A very powerful, intelligent and honest book on the fall out from the sexual revolution.
I highly recommend this book! For more book reviews go to Read 52 Books in 52 Weeks.
